A new revolutionary and efficient dewormer – 100% natural!
What are the ingredients of the product?
This great product is made mainly of fossilised remnants, which were microscopic unicellular algae living in water several million years ago. The fossilised remnants, herby referred to particles, are made mainly from silicon dioxide (SiO2) and trace amounts of other minerals. In addition, we have added some selected herbs that in parallel aid in cleaning of the liver. So this great dewormer is 100% natural!
How does it work ?
Consumed by humans or animals, they pass through the gastrointestinal tract. Moving along the digestion tract, the particles destroy parasites and their eggs along their way and they are subsequently excreted. This is a physical process; the rough surface of the shells rubs against the parasites’ bodies, damaging them and causing their death. Additionally, cylindrical shells of the particles have pores which absorb water from the environment, which dehydrates pathogen bodies and ultimately kills them. Note, the particles used by us are all amorphous silica (rounded), gentler than the crystalline versions and do not harm the walls of the gastrointestinal tract and the intestines on their way through the host animal.
The veterinarian tests
All pigeons were given the dewormer as 15 gram per kilo grain. The grain was moisture with Pigeon Vitalitys Turbo Flight oil. Before the experiments and after days 11 and 21 of the experiment the pigeon faeces were collected randomly from five points of the loft and were examined for parasites using McMaster’s method., giving no. of paracite eggs and oocysts per gram of facies.
There were three groups of parasites identified in the pigeon faeces: nematode eggs of the genus Capillaria, nematode eggs of the genus Ascaridia and oocysts of coccidia Eimeria sp.

Effect on oocysts of the coccidia Eimeria sp
Although the main target for Pigeon Vitality’s Natural DewormerTM is to eradiate worms, we also found an interesting effect on the oocysts of coccidia Eimeria sp. in the experiments.

Conclusions from the experiments
Using Pigeon Vitality Natural DewormerTM (PVND) in the diet of pigeons significantly reduces the amount of internal parasites in the pigeon’s gastrointestinal tract with time of use, in fact the nematode eggs of the genus Capillaria, nematode eggs of the genus Ascaridia are complete eradicated within 11 days. Also an effect on the oocysts of coccidia Eimeria sp. is observed, as roughly 95% of these oocysts are eradiated within 3 weeks.
• PVND be successfully used in controlling parasites of the gastrointestinal tract and in de-worming in purebred pigeons.
• PVND cleans out 100% the nematode eggs of the genus Capillaria and nematode eggs of the genus Ascaridia witin 11 days
• PVND cleans out 95% of the oocysts of coccidia Eimeria sp. within 21 days • PVND has no observed negative side-effects on the tested pigeons. On the contrary, the young birds included in the test showed an increasingly zest of flying during the experiment period of 3 weeks.
• PVND is an environmentally- friendly alternative to synthetic products against internal parasites in pigeons and other breeding birds and is non-invasive to the environment and birds.
How to use Pigeon Vitality’s Natural dewormer for pigeons ?
We suggest to use the PVND 14-21 successive days before and after breeding and racing season. It may e.g. be given in the moulting period in the autumn (which also is before the winter breeding starts) and in the spring before racing season. We recommend a three weeks cure on all young birds ending two weeks before first race (the Young Birds may be trained while having the PVND on the grain).
Add 2 x heaped measure levels (15 gram) to 1 kilo grain which in advance is moisture with Turbo Energy oil , and give for 2-3 weeks.
Note regarding coccidia
Although worms are eradiated, we don’t expect the coccidia to be eradiated after 2-3 weeks use.
Following this, if oocysts of coccidia are present in the facies, we recommend to use additionally some kind of coccidiostatica for the racers (young birds and old birds) 2 weeks before the race season. We suggest the medicine Baycox (3 ml/ litre water for two days), which may be prescribed by your local veterinarian.
For the breeders we suggest only 3 weeks treatment to minimize the coccidia levels by PVND before pairing up. All worms will then be eradiated, whie some coccidia will survive. We believe that if the breeders do have some coccidia, that will only stimulate their and their young bird’s immune defence system. And when the racing season start for the young bird, they may be treated with Baycox.
