A new revolutionary and efficient dewormer – 100% natural!
What are the ingredients of this product?
This product is primarily composed of fossilized remains of microscopic, single-celled algae that lived in aquatic environments millions of years ago. These fossilized remnants, hereafter referred to as particles, consist mainly of silicon dioxide (SiO₂), along with trace amounts of other minerals.
In addition, selected herbs have been included to support liver cleansing. As a result, this dewormer is entirely natural.
How does it work?
When consumed by humans or animals, the particles pass through the gastrointestinal tract. As they move along the digestive system, they physically damage parasites and their eggs, which are then excreted from the body.
This is a mechanical process: the rough surface of the particles abrades the parasites’ outer structures, leading to their destruction. Furthermore, the cylindrical structure of the particles contains microscopic pores that absorb moisture from the environment, dehydrating pathogens and ultimately killing them.
Importantly, the particles used are amorphous silica (rounded), which is gentler than crystalline forms and does not damage the gastrointestinal lining.
The veterinarian tests
In the study, pigeons were administered the dewormer at a dosage of 15 grams per kilogram of grain. The grain was pre-moistened with Pigeon Vitality’s Omega-3 oil.
Fecal samples were collected before the experiment and on days 11 and 21. Samples were taken randomly from five locations in the loft and analyzed using McMaster’s method to determine the number of parasite eggs and oocysts per gram of feces.
Three groups of parasites were identified:
- Nematode eggs of the genus Capillaria
- Nematode eggs of the genus Ascaridia
- Oocysts of coccidia (Eimeria species)
Results
The same three parasite groups were consistently identified in the pigeon feces:
- Capillaria
- Ascaridia
- Eimeria (coccidia)
Effect on the worms (Capillary Sp., Ascardia Sp.)
The treatment showed a strong effect on both nematode groups, leading to complete eradication within 11 days.
Effect on oocysts of the coccidia Eimeria sp
Although the primary target of the product is worms, a significant secondary effect was observed on Eimeria oocysts. Approximately 95% of these were eliminated within three weeks.

Conclusions from the experiments
The use of Pigeon Vitality Natural Dewormer™ (PVND) significantly reduces internal parasites in pigeons over time.
- Nematode eggs (Capillaria and Ascaridia) were completely eradicated within 11 days.
- Approximately 95% of Eimeria oocysts were eliminated within three weeks.
Summary
- PVND is effective in controlling gastrointestinal parasites in purebred pigeons.
- It eliminates 100% of Capillaria and Ascaridia within 11 days.
- It reduces Eimeria oocysts by approximately 95% within 21 days.
- No negative side effects were observed. On the contrary, young birds showed increased vitality and activity during the test period.
- PVND is an environmentally friendly alternative to synthetic antiparasitic products.
- The silicate content supports feather strength, making it beneficial during the molting period.
How to use Pigeon Vitality’s Natural dewormer for pigeons?
It is recommended to use PVND for 14–21 consecutive days before and after breeding and racing seasons.
Suggested periods of use:
- During the molting period in autumn
- Before winter breeding
- In spring before the racing season
For young birds, a three-week treatment is recommended, ending two weeks before the first race. Birds may continue training while receiving PVND.
Dosage:
Mix 2 heaped measuring spoons (15 grams) with 1 kilogram of grain. The grain should be pre-moistened with Omega-3 oil.
The mixture can be prepared the day before use to allow better absorption of the oil.
Note regarding coccidia
While PVND effectively eliminates worms, it does not completely eradicate coccidia within 2–3 weeks.
If coccidia oocysts are still present, additional treatment is recommended:
- Use a coccidiostat such as Baycox (3 ml per liter of water for two days), as prescribed by a veterinarian.
For breeding birds:
- A 3-week PVND treatment before pairing is recommended to reduce coccidia levels.
- Some remaining coccidia may help stimulate the immune system of both adult and young birds.
All racing birds (adults and youngsters) may be treated with Baycox 2 successive days before the racing, season if necessary.
